La Trobe Financial is privately owned and is Australia's leading credit specialist Fund Manager with over 60 years experience operating offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Shanghai. La Trobe Financial's Head Office is based in Melbourne and it also operates a National Custody Centre based in Traralgon. The current President and CEO is Mr.Greg O'Neill (1997 to present).
==History==
La Trobe Financial formed in 1952 initially operated as a business partnership between Kelvin David O’Mullane and Raymond Kevin O’Neill. Attributed as one of the fastest growing building societies in Australia the 1970s it was eventually demutualised and Ray O’Neill bought out his co-founding business partner. It has since grown to become one of Australia’s leading bank independent credit specialist Funds Manager. Specialising in private property credit with a focus on residential and commercial mortgage assets, La Trobe Financial have been at the forefront of the industry,〔Victorian Innovation in Fund Management Awards 2011 (20 April 2011) "Melbourne Financial Services Symposium" ((view award) )〕 providing a wide range of both asset management and investment services.
